NASB | 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 11:4 For [you seem willing to allow it] if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted. You tolerate all this beautifully [welcoming the deception]. |

Bible Note: Tom, thanks for your response and your kind words. Please re-read my post to Norrie. I didn't say that more references are made to hell than to heaven in the entire corpus of the New Testament canon, nor even in the Gospels themselves. What I said was that Jesus Himself (i.e.,in His own words) referred to hell (and its synonyms) more times than He did to heaven. Please get back with me after you have made the count so that you can confirm or refute my statement by actual count. Thanks again, Tom, for your correspondence. --Hank |
