NASB | 1 Corinthians 5:11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a one. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 5:11 But actually, I have written to you not to associate with any so-called [Christian] brother if he is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater [devoted to anything that takes the place of God], or is a reviler [who insults or slanders or otherwise verbally abuses others], or is a drunkard or a swindler--you must not so much as eat with such a person. [2 Thess 3:6] |
Subject: Don't associate with Christians who sin? |
Bible Note: janjan . greetings your answer here seems to be great suggestion ... like finding mutual ground. Unless I mis-understood you, you are saying we should NOT expell a sinner from the Lord's house, but we should trust the Holy Spirit to guide with who we associate. Is this what you are saying? I have a bit of a problem with the whole idea of having an "inner circle". But I may be mis-informed. please advise.also if you click on your screen name hyper-link you can post a profile and a decree of your faith and that way others will know who they are speaking with... you never know who or why if there's no profile. with bubba-love, joel k |
