NASB | 1 Corinthians 14:22 So then tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophecy is for a sign, not to unbelievers but to those who believe. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 14:22 Therefore, [unknown] tongues are [meant] for a [supernatural] sign, not to believers but to unbelievers [who might be receptive]; while prophecy [foretelling the future, speaking a new message from God to the people] is not for unbelievers but for believers. |

Bible Note: Tim: Thank you for your reply. You know I agree with you. But the bible is something that you can't make everyone believe on one set interepetation. It is impossible. GOD made us with free will to choose what we may. You can take what you understand the bible to say, present it with a full laid out presentation and someone still look at you and say "I don't see it". Sometimes, the word is right in front of them, but like rather they choose to believe in GOD or not- is the same if they believe and want to put into practice what the bible says. We could probally use up 10 pages on this forum about it, but it won't help. In Christ- Amanda |
