AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 7:6 But now we have been released from the Law and its penalty, having died [through Christ] to that by which we were held captive, so that we serve [God] in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter [of the Law]. |
Subject: Are we free from the Law? |
Bible Note: Brother I'll stand with you on this one. Many of us have the misguided concept that the old testament went bye bye after pentecost. Not so, Jesus stated clearly that he came to fulfill the law not abolish it.(Romans 15:4- For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perserverance and the encouragement of Scriptures we might have hope.) Part of any effective bible study is undersstanding that all scripture From Genises to Revelation is either written to us or that it is written for our learning. We can ill afford to X anything out of Gods Word cause when we do we all lose. I hope this adds some clarity to those of us who may have questions or doubts regarding this. In Christ, lionheart |
