AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 7:25 Thanks be to God [for my deliverance] through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind serve the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness, my sinful capacity--I serve] the law of sin. |
Subject: Greek Question in Romans |
Bible Note: Amen rzaac, Your answer is right on brother!! Exactly what I would have said had you not said it. While the Bible demands faith, our faith is a gift from God and not something we "muster up." The question so many Christians can't seem to understand is "everything, absolutely everything" is from God, through God and to God. While the Word seems to indicate we must do this, we must have that, we must be this, we all at times miss the whole point. "For it is God who is at work in you; both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 The Word as well as the Law points to our need and our lack of ability to do so. It is through prayer, humility, and yes faith, that we present ourselves each and every day to our Lord and beg Him to "give us the will, the desire, and yes the faith to live the life He has for us. "Without Me you can do nothing." Jesus said in John. Blessings my friend, God's Day to you, InGodITrust |
