Bible Question: I am a lesbian and I am concerned if my soul is bound for hell? I am a firm beliver and I have excepted christ as my savior. |
Bible Answer: Marquita, We often seem to forget that there is one standard of chasity for all, no matter what our state in life. We are all called to chastity whether married or single, heterosexual or homosexual. Even the married state has a call to chastity which can be every bit as much a challenge as the call for homosexuals or single heterosexuals to remain chaste. Consider the married person whose spouse has a medical condition that precluded any sexual relationship, yet all other obigations of the partner remain. And this is only one not so commom example, not to mention the routine daily challenges. Marriage does not necessarily eliminate temptation and can sometimes under certain circumsatnces increase it. Is this any less challenging than the call to chasitiy by a single person whether heterosexual or homosexual? Just something for your prayerful consideration that may make you fell not so isolated and pigeonholed in your situation. |
