Bible Question (short): What does God want me to do? |
Question (full): Hello, I just registered and and I have a question that's been laying heavy on my heart for a couple of weeks now. Here goes. My wife of two years fell in love with another man while living under my roof. After she told me that she had NO interest in me or our marriage I told her to go. She left and lived with this man for about six months. She has since sent him away and had a sincere conversion experience and is NOW a Christian (same with me) We both converted after she left the house and now she is saying that she wants to reconcile the marriage. In this time i have learned that I am still biblicly married to her because I never gave her a notice of divorce. As I said at the time I was an unbeliever and wasn't living my life for God. Now that I am I accept that I am still married to her but can't for the life of me find any verse in the bible where God advises reconciliation or divorce. I would think that reconsiliation would be the godly path but she refuses to admit that she committed adultery because there was no physical relationship before she left the house. Is there a verse that offers advice or comfort about this? |
