Subject: Are gays/lesbians bound for hell? |
Bible Note: Greetings Marquita, Homosexuality is considered and acceptable practice by many in our worlk today - even by some churches. But society does not set the standard for God's law. Many homosexuals believe that their desires are normal and they have a right to express them but I refer you to the verses below: 1Cor 6:9,10: Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders not thieves not the greedy not drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Lev 18:22: Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Lev 20:13: If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Rom 1:26-28: For this God gave them up to degrading passions, Their woman exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women were consumed with passion for one another....And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done. God's plan for natural sexual relationshops is His ideal for His creation. Unfortunately, sin distorts the natural use of God's gifts. Sin means not only denying God, but also denying the way we are made. Homosexuality is strictly forbidden in scripture (see above scriptures). However, the good news is that God is willing to receive anyone who comes to Him in faith. God can and will forgive sexual sins just as He forgives any other sin. But when we come to Him we must put away our former ways and walk in His ways. I know I am being blunt and may sound uncaring or condescending but I do not mean to. You are a sister in Christ and with that comes my love in Christ. But I feel that a issue is either black or white. There is no gray area. Suppose that a murderer or a thief or a liar, or a swindler or a slanderer believed in God and studied His word religiously and went to church each week but still continued to murder or swindle, or steal, or lie, or slander: do you believe that he should or will inherit the kingdom of God? Luke 13:24-27 tell us that the door to heaven is narrow. It also tells us that Many will cry "Lord, open the door" and you will say 'But we ate and drank with you' and He will reply, 'I tell you, I do not know you. Go away, all you who do evil.' In your question you stated that you were concerned. I believe this to be the Holy Spirit at work in you convicting you of your lifestyle. Please let your prayers be that God show you the truth Himself and that He lead you to the place that He wants you to be at. You will be in my prayers. prayon |
