Subject: Visit other churches? |
Bible Note: Brother charis Greetings to you, may this note find you prospering in all of your doings. In response to your note, let me line up what I mean: 1. Church - chosen and called out 1Pet.2:6- 10, especially verses 9-10 2. Local church - 1Cor. 1:2 3. Universal church - Rom 12:5 - 1Cor.12:12- 14. I believe in being committed to a local (body) church and the function of the church. I don't believe in being a church "tramp", hopping from one church to another. I believe each church has a unique purpose (in reaching out to others), I have visited other churches in the past, this one church the majority of its members have come from the steets, gang members, prositutes, drug addicts, etc. a rough looking crowd, but they sure love the Lord, I was blessed, the anointing was there! And I've been to a church where its members looked as if they been eating lemons! :) but when the worship service began, I was dropping some tears, Praise God. And I have visited other churches that were in between the both. Like the saying goes, there is nothing like "Home sweet Home", this is where you submitt to your pastor, called and SERVE in ministry. All in all, I love Gods people, my brothers and sisters, what can I say "We are the CHURCH" "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but IN the power of God" 1Cor. 2:5 Love you Brother, Because He is The 1 |
