Bible Note: "But God..." -- The Rest of the Story Yes, the Bible does indeed say: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard..." But let's go on to the next verse and see what it says: "But God hath revealed them unto us..." 1 Cor. 2:9-10a (KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit. 1 Cor 2:9-10a NIV However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” – but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. |
