Bible Note: Hi, brother Ed... A little bit of an aside here: Weren't the members of the church in Thessalonica predominantly of Greek origin? I know that they tended to be sympathetic to Jewish thinking before Paul and Silas preached the Gospel there. But would they have been sufficiently familiar with Jewish custom for Paul to be perfectly comfortable with using all these kinds of Hebrew cultural referants? Thank you for your comments.
