Subject: Why not Baptize as Jesus said to? |
Bible Note: Firstly, I never said that the woman taking on the mans name was biblical. I was using a cultural example. Secondly, it says leave his family not change his name either so stop trying to prove something that is not there. THIRDLY, You still don't know who's follower you are because anyone can be a father any one can be a son and I know a lot of people FULL of the Holy Ghost, so you belong to titles not someone. (so let's not use that scripture again that one is WAY to easy to explain) For instance EXPLAIN why it says THE NAME THE NAME THE NAME THE NAME SINGULAR SINGULAR SINGULAR NOT PLURAL. (Got it now?) WHAT IS THE NAME??????? I have the name applied to me...FOURTHLY, now I want to apologize ahead if I seem a little rude or upset, as you slightly rubbed me the wrong way. I was taught to love this freedom and this country, and that just like salvation my freedom has come at a great price. Now you can insult me or my family but there are 2 things that you do not say anything against as I will defend it with every last breath. the first is My God who's name is Jesus. The second is my country. I feel like if you do not appreciate this country I am sure there will be one less generous willing to welcome you in. So please when trying to prove a point please do not criticize my country as I love this land. I believe everyone in my family if you cut us we would bleed red white and blue. Sooo on that note He said be baptised as I must if you just read back you will see my views on that. He had to be baptized as an example of what we should do. Further more, You know really you need to read the scripture above and the one below before you try to use it. AND I looked it up in the greek text btw and it is NOT plural it is SINGULAR. ONCE AGAIN BAPTISMO. SUBMERSE!!!!!! And my concordance takes it farther it says baptism according to the order of baptising to make FULLY WET. This is the NIV Heb 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, Heb 6:2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. Heb 6:3 And God permitting, we will do so. KJV Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit. |
