Bible Note: I agree that we can (and should) forgive each other. Mat 6:14 "If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. Mat 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, if my brother keeps on sinning against me, how many times do I have to forgive him? Seven times?" "No, not seven times," answered Jesus, "but seventy times seven, but i do not think we can presume to take the place of God and forgive sins for him. Mark 2:7 "How does he dare talk like this? This is blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins!" in fact you will notice that the two things that are called blasphemous in the NT are forgiveness of sins and saying one is God on ths earth (John 10:33) |
