Bible Question: In the 3rd chapter of John, Jesus is talking to Nicodemus and he tells him that "accept a man be born of the water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" I am trying to understand this verse. I know in this verse Jesus is not talking about water baptism. ButI don't understand what the "water" in this verse is referring to. Can anyone help me with this? |
Bible Answer: How about the water of baptism, the obvious answer, since immediately after this encounter Jesus and his diciples begin baptizing in the Jordan. See also Titus 3:5. |
