Subject: Born of the water means? |
Bible Note: John 3:6 That which is BORN OF THE FLESH IS FLESH; and that which is BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT BORN OF THE FLESH equals natural physical birth BORN OF THE SPIRIT equals spiritual birth In the discourse between Jesus and Nicodemus, Jesus is speaking about "birth" That is why the word "born" is used 8 times in John 3:3-8 Now we all know what a birth is. If Jesus intended anything other that "birth" He certainly would have said as much. The fact is that in John 3, Jesus was making a contrast between two births, the natural and the physical.
