Bible Question: What should a person do to please God so that God will allow that person's soul to go to heaven (have eternal life) as opposed to sending that soul to hell (eternal death)? |
Bible Answer: Welldigger There is nothing you can to to please God enough to forgive all your sins. Salvation is received by grace freely given to all that believe and trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation. There is no other way!! First you have to realize you need salvation, then you have to believe Jesus Christ provided that salvation by his death on the cross. Then you have to trust in that belief and rest easy. Read these scriptures Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 10:9-13 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." Please let us know if you have any questions If you haven't already I pray right now you will stop and ask Jesus Christ into your heart. EdB |
