Bible Question:
I have two friends who say they believe in God, but are having a problem with believing in Jesus and believing that one must accept his sacrifice as our passage way into Heaven. What are some of the best versus in the Bible that I can use to demonstrate to them that this is the only way? How can I share the blessing of faith? Thank you. |
Bible Answer: Shana: A good place to start would be to ask them, since they say they believe in God, what is He like? Habakkuk 1:13 and Leviticus 10:3 give us some insight into God's character, and Isaiah 6 shows us how human beings respond when in His presence. Who are we and how does God feel about our sin? That is Romans 1:18-20 and Romans 3:9-18. If we don't have a clear grasp of God's holiness and our hopelessness in sin, the role of Christ doesn;t make much sense at all. So I would suggest that you start there |
