Subject: Does Scripture support these? |
Bible Note: Greetings Judith: I would encourage you to look again at your statements and then address the specifics I have identified. 1. "But is also true that spirits are crafted by this method." What are you referring to? How are spirits crafted in the same manner as human beings other than they were created by God? 2. And (the invisible force of God)has been among us in many different physical bodies. Tis sounds pretty "New Age" to me. God is not an invisible FORCE - let's get down to how He describes Himself. As far as the prophets of the past, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write as they did, but they were mere human beings; indeed set apart by God as His instruments. But God was incarnate in only 1 physical body, that of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16) 3. "So I gather it(the body of Jesus) must be among us somewhere." Where does Scripture say that the "body of Jesus" is? His spirit is among us and in each believer, but His body? Acts 1:6-11 records the ascension of Jesus in to Heaven and promises His bodily return! 4.Your comments about "being born, growing old and dying with the hope of a new awakening" could describe Islam, et al. So HOW does this form the basis for Christianity? Christianity is all about the birth, death and ressurrection of JESUS! For the believer, we have this assurance: that Christ lives within us and one day we will share His glory! (Col 1:27) Col 1:15-29 would be a good passage for you to look at. Mommapbs |
