Subject: WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK DID JESUS DIE |
Bible Note: Signmanbob: I respectfully would like to give you a better understanding. The Jewisk law regarde any part of a day as a day. A day was sunset to sunset. Jesus was put to death on the day of preperation, Friday. They had to place Jesus in the tomb before sunset. So the part of Friday is considered day one. Saturday is day two. Sunday, resurrection day is the third day. This is how the three days is arrived. This is how the majority of orthodox Christianity has view this from the earliest church fathers time. I can not see how by using Scripture you can come any other conclusion. Hope this helps. Any thoughts? justme |
