Bible Question:
In Matthew 19:23-24 it reads: "Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." QUESTION: What is the kingdom of heaven and what is the kingdom of God mentioned in these two verses. Is the meaning for both the same. If not, what are the respective meanings of both kingdoms? Thank You. SW |
Bible Answer: 1. The Kingdom Of Heaven------ It is from Heaven, under Heaven. Men are never told to seek the Kingdom of Heaven. 2. The Kingdom Of God--------- It is in Heaven and over the Earth. Men are told to seek this Kingdom. The Kingdom of Heaven is a lesser term than the Kingdom of God. Just in my own words, let me say that the Kingdom of God is with-in you.(If you are "Born Again") and the Kingdom of Heaven is a Place that is limited in its scope. God Bless you! |
