AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 3:11 ¶ "As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance [that is, because you are willing to change your inner self--your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life], but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove [even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment). [Luke 3:16] |
Subject: Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? |
Bible Note: When I said heart, as in the Word, I meant Spirit. That is why we need to be baptised by the Holy Spirit in order to allow HIM to teach us by HIS Spirit, not by our intellect. John 16:13 How be it when HE, the Spirit of Truth comes, HE will guide you to ALL truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but what ever he shall hear that he shall speak: and he will show you things to come. You say "OURS is a Study Bible Forum." Is this "OURS" dominated by a people who like to argue against the things of the Spirit? I am not interested in arguing like this, because it borders on blaspheming the Holy Spirit. |
