AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 3:11 ¶ "As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance [that is, because you are willing to change your inner self--your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life], but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove [even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment). [Luke 3:16] |
Bible Question:
Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost and be saved? Acts Chapter 10 v 15 and 16 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord. How that he said. John indeed baptized with water: but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Love Leftwich |
Bible Answer: Most always when people were filled with the Holy Ghost they had an outward sign of speaking in tongues, prophesying, or some even acted drunk. These signs are still present today and the more we are filled the deeper we are cleansed and filled with more revelation of God. |
