AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 3:11 ¶ "As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance [that is, because you are willing to change your inner self--your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life], but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove [even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment). [Luke 3:16] |
Subject: Can we be baptized with the Holy Ghost? |
Bible Note: Nancy, I think I'm seeing just fine. How does Acts 2:38 relate to what you are saying? This scripture gives a pretty explanitory picture of salvation and what it entails. I get the impression from the original posting you are refering to more than one baptism. Is there? God manifests His Spirit in different capacities,we them in scripture. In accordance with Acts 2:38 you received all of Gods Spirit you will ever need when you recieved Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We got the whole deal when we were saved, no more no less. If I'm being hard hearted or dence of thought correct me,I'm more than willing eo listen. In Christ, lionheart |
