Bible Question (short): Rapture vs. Glorious Appearing?

Question (full): The rapture and the glorious appearing are linked in scripture. The "stealth rapture" makes an interesting twist at the box office I cannot find a home for the idea in the scriptures.

The following verse indicates the sound of his coming and the rapture:

1 Thessalonians 4
16
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a ***loud command***, with the ***voice of the archangel*** and with the ***trumpet call of God***, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

The following equates the blessed hope of the rapture and the glorious appearing:

Titus 2
13looking for the ***blessed hope and glorious appearing*** of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

The following equates His coming and the rapture:

John 14
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, ***I will come again and receive you to Myself***; that where I am, there you may be also.

The following indicate the visibility of his coming:

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The following indicates the glory of his coming at the time when he gives rest to the saints (the rapture)
