AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Bible Question (short): Do you not know...? |
Question (full): Do you not know...? Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two will become one flesh." 1 Cor. 6:16 (ESV) The unbiblical notion that whenever a man and a woman have sex with each other they then become married in the eyes of God is a blasphemous distortion of 1 Corinthians 6:16. Think it through. If this notion were true, then no one would ever be guilty of having sex outside of marriage because as soon as the act is done, the couple would be married -- in the eyes of God, according to the faulty logic of this absurd theory. |
