Bible Note: Greetings Sir! Like you and Nolan, I too an a Star Trek fan! :-) I understand where you are going from about the death penalty, but I am curious as to how you justify it from Scripture. My perspective on it follows the following logic: 1) The death penalty was commanded in the OT by God, therefore it could not be immoral. 2) There is not any place in the NT where the death penalty is forbidden. 3) Therefore, the death penalty for today is neither forbidden nor immoral.
