Bible Note: Ateo As a side bar, I think I now know where you are coming from. The book you reference "Who Wrote the Gospels" sounds like the work of a very liberal theologian. Many people have trouble accepting Daniel as written in 600-500 BC time frame because of the accuracy of his prophecy and feel the Book had to be written after the fact. What they forget is even if Daniel was written in 200 BC, which it wasn’t, it still hit the most important prophecy it contained right on the head, the entry of Jesus in Jerusalem more than 200 years later. The 2nd century date of Daniel theory may still have some advocates within very liberal circles, the theory is on the decline even there. Too much external evidence points to the date of Daniel being around the late 6 th century early 5 th exactly the time frame of the Babylonian conquest of Israel. I never read the book you referenced but if the rest is like his thoughts on Daniel I think you wasted you money. EdB |
