Bible Question:
Ateo, Can you provide me a text concerning Lydia to be one of the four empires.I've studied the four empires refers to Babylon, Medo- Persia, Greece and Rome. Thanks! inheavenseyes |
Bible Answer: inheavenseyes I'm not Ateo but the Lydian Empire was a small empire that existed round the time of Babylonian empire in what is now called Turkey. Sardis is believed to have been it's capital city. The Lydian Empire played no significant role in Israel's history and is not mentioned in the Book of Daniel. Your absolutely right the four Empires of Daniel are the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian, and Roman. Ateo is totally off base with his stated assumptions. EdB |
