Bible Note: Does Margaret's Starbird's book, "The Woman With the Alabaster Jar," happen by any chance to begin with the words "Once upon a time"? It really should, you know. This grim fairy tale rivals the classic Grimm fairy tales in pure fantasy. But thanks for making this forum privy to a new and ingenious question, a question that pulls the punch of biblical profundity inherent in the ages-old question "Who was Cain's wife?" This question about Mrs. Cain has run its course and has long since failed to evoke the shock and awe that it once did. Now, thanks to you, along with the invaluable assistance of Ms. Starbird (Is this an example of birds of a feather flocking together?), we can now ask, "Who was Mrs. Jesus?" with impunity, since this forum has long passed the golden age when it would have been considered an idiotic and impious question. Follow your misinformed and loony guru if you will, but as for me I choose to let the Bible speak on this and all other theological issues and invite the likes of Margaret Starbird to fly the coop. --Hank |
