Bible Note: Hi! If you note my original post, I stated that God did not fill the Bible with... I never claimed that God did not use science, philosophy, poetry, or other means of human intellectaul abilities--He even used astronomy to gather the three wise men about Jesus' manger! My response was to clarify that though the Bible is not encompassing of all the present terminologies and ideas, there are no short comings in God's revelations. Rather it is our limited and finite abilities that do not allow us to see the Truth: i.e.: though there is no mention of crack-cocane, spanish fly, angel dust, S and M, etc... the Bible teaches that Yahweh demands that we come to Him with pure heart, a pure mind, and a pure body. There's no teaching in the Bible about cigarettes... but we know they kill... and we know that we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit... we know that we have been bought at a price... we know that if we destroy God's Temple God will destroy us! ever since the creation of the world, the invisible existence of God and his everlasting power have been clearly seen by the mind's understanding of created things. And so these people have no excuse: they knew God and yet they did not honour him as God or give thanks to him, but their arguments became futile and their uncomprehending minds were darkened. While they claimed to be wise, in fact they were growing so sutpid that they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an imitation, for the image of a mortan human being, or of birds, or animals, or crawling things. (Romans 1:20-23) In this passage it is evident that Paul is referencing nature as a source of God's revelation of His Divinity! Just look at the substance we call snow: if we capture a single drop (or whatever the scientific term may be) we will find that it has an intricate geometrical design! A design that a mere accident in space could not have brought into perfect existence! I hope this finally clarifies my position about God, the Bible, Science and Nature. God Bless! Angel PS: Please forgive me for not using your tag--I do not know its origins but it's a phonic equivalent to the ancient name of the anti-Christ. |
