Bible Note: An alternative view................................................... Hi Angel, I agree with you that only through God's grace can we come to know Him. However, I would disagree that God doesn't use things like science and philosophy to bring people to Himself. Romans 1:20 says "For since the creation of the world His (God's) invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they (all humans) are without excuse." Luke 19:40 says "But Jesus answered, 'I tell you, if these (My followers) become silent, the stones will cry out!'" These are just two examples of places where the Bible supports the idea that nature (science) can and is used by God to bring people to know Himself.
