Bible Question: Does the bible give reference to the earth being round or flat, or to the earth or sun being the center of the solar system? |
Bible Answer: Razman, Notice the "circle of the earth": Isa 40:21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: Also notice "hangeth the earth upon nothing": Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Looks like an ancient discription of planetary orbit that would pass any definition of relativity that Einstein could have come up with. Hope this helps, Pastor Glenn |
