Bible Question (short): Who is the beloved?

Question (full): Searcher56: Are you perhaps approaching this passage from too literal of a perspective by limiting it to a discouse between a Lover and the beloved? Do you believe that this book is only for married couples? It is God's Word and "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousnessis" 2 Tim 3:16

It seems to me that any believer should expect to receive edification from ALL of God's Word. When I read this book, I see the love of Christ expressed for His beloved, but is the beloved Israel or the Church or both?
