Bible Note: Dear Jeff,

I've read the Terms of Use. I'm not quite sure what name calling you're referring to. As far as labeling goes I assume you’re talking about the label “Calvinist”. To be honest, I didn't think they'd mind. If someone labeled me a "Christian" I wouldn't be offended. It seems to me that the individuals on this forum who adhere to the theological idea of predestination set forth by John Calvin (among others) are not ashamed of it (and rightfully so if they truly believe it). But if I have offended anyone by labeling them, I am very sorry.
As for divisiveness, my intentions were to make peace. To assure Val that arguing the topic wasn’t going to get her anywhere. I can remember when I was new to the forum and got into a debate or two over predestination. It was very frustrating to have the opposing individuals ignore the obvious scriptural evidence (I’m sure they felt the same way about me). Anyway, I was simply trying to humorously make peace. If, after reading my explanation, you still believe that I was name calling, inappropriately labeling, or being divisive, please let me know and I will recant.
