Bible Note: Greetings CDBJ! May I throw another curve ball to this discussion? :-) The creation acount doesn't say that Adam 'received' a soul. It says that he became a living soul (Gen. 2:7). So, I would be hard pressed to accept that babies only become human when they take a breath of air. They are clearly living before that time. They have their own unique DNA. They have their own finger prints. They have their own (in some cases) different blood types. They have brain waves while still in the womb. They move (as I can attest)! :-) The list goes on and on. The only thing that really changes from prior to birth and after birth is the baby's location. Of course, they get harder to take care of as well! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
