Bible Question:
Hi ya, I'm new here, but I have a question please. I spend a lot of time at MTV.com, "fight for your rights" forum. I try to offer some alternative responses to the usual atheistic views. Yes quite challenging but I feel it's a worthy effort. One of the questions asked is: "What did Jesus look like?" It seems I remember studies show that Jesus was of a fairly dark complexion but looked basically very average. Please let me know if you have any scriptural references regarding Jesus' physical appearance or any other studies done regarding this question. Thank you for your help. V |
Bible Answer: Maybee all you can do is ask them afew questions. 1: What did Matthew,Mark, Luke and John look like. What did Moses look like etc etc.. 2: was their any cameras or vidio cameras etc back in jesus time. 3: Could you see planets lightyears away back in jesus's time like you can these days. You are sort of stuck there. The information that you said that you had might be sufficient to answer their question though i wouldn't suggest it due to the reasons i stated in my earlyer reply... Unfortunately God didn't waste pen or parchment when his word was writen. The only people that i can think of that have a physical description was Esau and Jacob. Their characteristics were given for a reason as everything in the bible is. You have a very challenging task indead. I've only been a few years out of my teenage years and i remember very well how difficult it was to persuade me... Maybee you should Pray to God for the answer. Ask and the door will be opened... Good luck and i hope you find an answer that will satisfy THEIR question!!!! |
