Bible Note: Steve that's such a good question, sorry to be so late responding. I think they only want to place some kind of physical value with the idea of Jesus. Perhaps as they judge their own appearance so critically, they want to be able to judge Jesus' as well. Plus they may want to place Jesus with some kind ethnic features so they can stereotype Him. Teens tend to place everyone into a specific category of box, if you will. It makes it easier to judge them that way. I suppose as others have suggested that is why Jesus was somewhat nondescript except for being Jewish. Thank you for the question, very interesting, V |
