Subject: Can prayer change perfect will of God? |
Bible Note: Dear Cheri, You've got your causality a bit mixed up. God's objective is to bring Himself glory. He receives and will receive great glory in His providential responses to the prayers of the saints. This is the means He has preordained from before creation. So, you ask, "...why are we told to pray in situations?" (sic) There is no one more worthy, no plan more certain, no purpose more grand, no will more righteous, no service more precious... Now don't you want to get behind something like that? Anyone who doesn't has more serious problems than a shallow, anthropocentric theology -- that kind of heart is found in the lost, not in the redeemed. In Him, Doc |
