Subject: Did Jesus go to hell? |
Bible Note: Greetings Truthfinder! I think I have addressed this question before, but normally verbs like 'lego' are followed immediately by the contents of the speech. The only exceptions are when the pronoun expressing the direct object follows the verb (which it does not in this case) or when a helping word like 'hoti' is used as a quotation mark (which it is not in this case). So, there is every reason to place the comma after 'I say' and not after 'today'. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
