Bible Question: I know the Bibles says to tithe. If your wages are cut and you can't make ends meet does that me I am cheating God and I wont' be saved? |
Bible Answer: Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Rom 4: 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS." 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, We are saved by the grace of God through the blood and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not by what we do. NKJV Eph 2:4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast. Rom 3:31 Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. Though we are saved by His blood and only by Christ, Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.", we must still do what we are able. Our God is a merciful God. There are times in our lives when things happen which don't allow us to do all we would like to do, God looks at our heart. We must pray and work at our situation to get back to the position of the level of giving which we feel is right whether that is 10 percent or more. |
