Bible Question:
Are you suggesting that the baptism of Eph 4:5 is different from the baptism of Mt 29:19? Eph 4:5 "one Lord, one faith, one baptism" Matt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" |
Bible Answer: There is one baptism just as you see in (eph4:4) Jesus said in matt28:19)"go ye therefor, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the (NAME)of the Father, and of the Son,and of the Holy Ghost."notice Jesus said One NAME to all nations. So the name of the Father,If you look in Isaiah 9:6 you well see him talking about Jesus saying He is the ever lasting Father. The Name of the Son.you agree that is Jesus?(Matt1:21)Now the name of the Holy Ghost.(Jn.14:17)Even the Spirit of truth;whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:BUT YE KNOW HIM;FORE HE DWELLETH WITH YOU,AND SHALL BE IN YOU."Here Jesus clame to be the Holy Spirit(holy ghost)so when Jesus said go teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father(Jesus) and the Son(Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (Jesus) Peter obeyed as you read in acts2:38;(Acts 8:14-17) |
