Bible Question:
Hi Jdrummer, Psalm 22, NASB, has the "forsaken me" in lower case in verse 1, and verse 6 explains that "I am a worm, and not a man." So Jesus is remembering this song of David while on the cross. However, He was not just a man in the midst of a tragedy, He was truly the Son of God. That is why I go with the NKJ for Mark 15:39, "Truly this Man [sic] was the Son of God." So, Psalm 22 says to my mind, "Why hast Thou forsaken me?" [David]; and Mark 15:34, "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" [This Man Jesus Christ]. So my question continues to be "Why do people continue to think of Jesus as a human rather than His [sic] being in the likeness of men?" What do you think? From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: When He came to this earth, Jesus was fully man and He was fully God. But when He hung on the cross, He was fully man. Janae |
