Subject: Heaven is our home. |
Bible Note: My question was, how far away do you think that a person could be recognized with the naked eye? The answer is probable in the neighborhood of say from 75 to 100 yards. With this in mind look at the following verse and tell me what one might be able to conclude about the location of God’s abode, i.e. heaven. This verse is talking about the first martyr of the New Testament, Stephen. Acts 7:55-56 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, [56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Stephen’s statement was heavens, plural? The 1st. and the 2nd. heaven right up to the third. Psalm 110:1 had not quite started yet with reference to Christ sitting down as he is standing. Psalm 110:1 A Psalm of David. The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Actually the realm of God’s abode, or the third heaven might be all around us but we do not have the ability to see it. I am not truing to prove anything, I am just pointing of what it says. CDBJ |
