Subject: Heaven is our home. |
Bible Note: EdB, shame shame for putting words in my mouth. I don't recall saying anything about Jesus being confused. You must have gotten that confused. :-) Why do you assume that the word for, "compartments, abodes, dwelling places, etc." is merely in reference to places where we will dwell. What if it happens to be that these are abodes where God too shall dwell. I don't think I'm out of context. Jesus makes the point clear in that same chapter. John 14:23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. The, "Father's house" is the Father's family. This use of the word is not at all uncommon in the Bible. We are in fact, God's abode. Eph. 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Revelation 21:14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Bendiciones! Aspilos |
