Subject: Heaven is our home. |
Bible Note: EdB I want to make it clear that I do believe in heaven, but I believe John 14 is speaking about God and man's habitation together through the Spirit. Your right, Jesus is talking about abodes or dwelling places, there's no denying. He explains more about these abodes in ver 23. If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Many believer, equate to many abodes. Jesus often used word pictures when speaking of spiritual things. The consumation of a marrige is a good example of God and man becoming one. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. Jesus prepared a place for us by offering Himself up, and making it possible for us to become children of the Father's family. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. The manner in which he is building is this. Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Bendiciones!
