Subject: Am I wrong to think this? |
Bible Note: First I would like to thank you for your unique and insightful questions CDBJ, they are very eye opening. After much thought I've come to the conclusion that the ONLY love one can have for God is an infite and unconditional love. I think that anything less is not truly a love of God, but at most an appreciation of him. And while you should appreciate God as well, there is a large difference between what is required to do so and what it takes to infinitely love. To obtain such a love one would have to know God. One who knows God, knows God's love for them. And I am convinced that any person who knows how great and how powerful God's love for them is and knows all that he as given them will live by God's word and keep his commandments. The bible tells us that if you know God and you live by his word, you will be accepted into Heaven. In consequence, if you know God, then you will love him, and if you love God, then you will surely, keep his commandments, and live by his word. If you do these things the Bible tells us that we will meet our father and be accepted into his kingdom. This is my answer, and I must confess I have never thought of it in this perspective before. Now that I have, I beleive that have yet to know God as well as I had convinced myself.. So again I thank you. I would also like to ask what would be your answer to the same question. I am anxious to learn from your wisdom which is much greater than my own. God Bless You -Josh Armstrong |
