Subject: Studying O.T. is creating problems. |
Bible Note: Greetings Free Thinker! Sorry about Gen. 6:19, I missed the part about male and female in chapter six. My only defense is sleep deprivation! :-) I work nights, so I haven't been to bed. Now, on to the rest of your points. Concerning Judas, I included the word 'probably' because I was speculating. However, my speculation was based upon the available information and was both reasonable and logical. We know from Matthew's account that the priests did not accept the money back from Judas. We know from Acts that Judas bought a field. When we put both strands of evidence together, it is reasonable to conclude that the priests purchased the field in Judas' name. Of course, you can disagree with my conclusion, but please refrain from being insulting. I have tried very hard to be curteous and polite to you my friend. Finally, concerning Noah, I still content that chapter seven is an expansion of detail, not a contradiction. You may disagree of course! :-) Both specifically mentions the pairs, chapter seven simply adds the detail about the clean animals. I really don't see any problem with this. Both sections are only a few verses apart, and the context is quite clear. It seems to me my friend that you are straining at gnats! ;-) Noah did take 'pairs' of every creature, but he also took 'seven' of the clean animals. Well, my kids want to go for a bike ride, so I have to leave. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
