Subject: Studying O.T. is creating problems. |
Bible Note: More clean animals were needed for sacrifice so more were saved. God did not say "ONLY" two, that would have indeed been a contradiction. "Two" is included in "seven", so this is not at all a contradiction. Gen 7 2You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; 3also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth. Gen 8 20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. The question of who bought the field is not a problem either. It is well understood how others can perform tasks for someone else acting as their agent, especially if they are disabled or dead. Mat 27 5Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself. 6But the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, "It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood." 7And they consulted together and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. 8Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, 10and gave them for the potter's field, as the LORD directed me."[Jeremiah 32:6-9] Acts 1 16"Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; 17for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry." 18(Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. 19And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.) 20"For it is written in the Book of Psalms: "Let his dwelling place be desolate, And let no one live in it';[Psalm 69:25] The question is really of whoses name went on the deed to the property. Who would doubt that it was Judas' name on the deed. Pastor Glenn |
