AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:22 ¶ And the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), knowing [how to distinguish between] good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat [its fruit], and live [in this fallen, sinful condition] forever"-- |
Subject: Why was there a tree of life in Eden? |
Bible Note: Nolan, Great post. Man was not guaranteed to live forever - just because he was created. He had to go to the tree of life to gain eternal life. Just as we need to go to the cross. The tree of knowledge of good and evil is what the world takes and wants. We each have a choice. I do not think not choosing either is an option, for Adam or us. Another question is why is there the tree of life is Rev. 22? Do we need it, since we are in heaven. I read it is for the healing of nations (vs 2). Steve |
