Subject: How does God speak to us? |
Bible Note: God speaks to us in a still, small voice [inside], He also speaks to us through His Word, or, He may speak to us through just about anything. One thing to remember, though, you need to read and study His Word well because the devil or our own desires can be mistaken for God speaking to us. In these days when psychics are in abundance, we need to know the difference. Most psychics are just charletons...however, some may be those who are possessed by a familiar spirit. They operate through the soul. God speaks to us through our spirit, where His Spirit dwells. The Word of God gives us the ability to discern what is from our soul and what is from our spirit. Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Also, God will not contradict His Word and so that is also a way of knowing where that voice may be coming from. By God's Word we can test the spirits, ministries, and any messages we believe we have received from Him. I hope this is helpful. |
